LADWP Used EV Rebate Program

LADWP now offers a rebate up to $1,500 through the Used EV Rebate Program for used electric vehicles (EVs) purchased on or after September 1, 2019!

You do not need to be an LADWP account holder to apply for the rebate, but your permanent residence must receive electric service from LADWP.

Make sure the vehicle you are interested in meets the following criteria:

  • Featured on the approved vehicle list
  • With a model year at least two years older than the calendar year in which you apply for a rebate, but not older than eight years.
    • For example, if you apply for a rebate in 2019, your vehicle model year must be from 2011 to 2017.
  • Purchased on or after April 1, 2018.  A rebate of up to:
    • $450 is available for vehicles purchased from April 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019
    • $1,500 is available for vehicles purchased on or after September 1, 2019
  • With fewer than two Used EV Rebates previously issued by LADWP (LADWP will only issue up to two Used EV Rebates for the same EV). Please obtain the VIN of the vehicle you are considering and review the Rebate Issued List.

LADWP At Home Charger Rebate

LADWP is expanding its support of electric transportation with Charge Up LA! The program offers LADWP residential customers rebates to help offset the cost of charging stations for electric vehicles (EV).

Eligible customers may receive a rebate of up to $500 for the purchase of a qualified Level 2 (240-volt) charging station and a $250 rebate for the installation of a dedicated EV meter.  LADWP also offers special rate plans for charging EVs, for more information please contact a program specialist.
